A future for the past.
At La Foneria, we use technology to make cultural heritage accessible. Information technologies, artificial intelligence, storytelling techniques and digital strategies are our (and your) allies in this mission.
Digital transformation of cultural heritage.
We use information technologies to manage museum collections, archival holdings and cultural centre recordings and apply efficient AI-driven description, curation, processing and indexing methods
We identify the target audiences of cultural institutions and design publication projects with them in mind. We apply the optimal digital storytelling methods to guarantee the best possible user experience while implementing a digital strategy that allows you to attract potential users in online environments.
And since we know so much about technology and heritage, we make it all look easy.
Featured projects
Símbolos de un tiempo
Virtual exhibition for the Instituto Navarro de la Memoria, divided into three main sections covering the period from 1936 to 2019. Through texts and images, it reviews the chronology of Francoist symbolism and also includes a map to consult the register of symbols that have been removed from different locations across the Chartered Community of Navarre.
Mujer y memoria
A virtual exhibition that tells the recent history of Navarre from a female perspective. The exhibition is divided into three main sections: Vindication, Repression and Resistance(s). It takes a theoretical approach to these three stages and presents a whole series of resources, including audiovisual material, bibliography, documents and photos, which help users to better understand each historical moment.
Manifesto
Holistic vision
We understand cultural heritage as an interrelated whole. That's why we work with all kinds of heritage.
Heritage and technology
Cultural heritage is a common good. To help it stay that way, we work with free, open-source software.
Content First
We create custom projects in an artisanal way. Every collection, museum, archive and documentation centre is unique. We will not complete a publication project that fails to adapt to your content.
Dimensioning
We begin no project before analysing the content of the heritage. A well-designed project based on the content you preserve guarantees future success.
Scalability
We adapt to your pace and budget. Transforming successfully requires cooking on low heat.
Intelligibility
Reaching different audiences means speaking their languages, without renouncing scientific discourse.
Training
We do not want to be indispensable, but rather enable you to work on your own in the future.
Making difficult things easy
The challenge is to enable a simple user experience in large and complex projects.
Interdisciplinarity
We know as much about technology as we do about heritage, so our solutions adapt to your content.
Commitment
We do what we do because we like it and we work with passion.
